Still Jinglin’: Keyport Slide 2.0

Keyport Slide 2 IMG_5085

Confession. I’d be a liar if I said “All gadgets are made equally”. There is a gadget that I like better than most of the rest.  I know I shouldn’t say that, but hey… the Keyport Slide 2.0 is, hands down, that gadget.  Going out always involves the conversation of ’who will hold the keys’. No guy wants to have janitor because of the keys. We try to reduce the number of keys we take when we go out (not that it ever works). Hence that cool dual ring key separator thing your father probably still has. Let’s be honest, even with pops’ relic fathers day gift, there is a discomfort of the keys. then there is always that moment that you need one of the 4 keys you JUST separated from your house key. Been there, done that, got the bumper sticker. Thanks to Keyport Slide 2.0, you never have to worry about that again.

My first impression when ordering the Keyport Slide 2.0 was that I would have this hassle with ordering my keys and getting them made after delivery. WRONG. I followed the steps and ordered my keys and had the new prongs delivered within a week. I was already excited. The keys take away everything but what is actually needed to turn your locks mechanisms. So, already, half of the weight of my keys was gone.  The local locksmith had absolutely no problem cutting my keys and I had my Keyport Slide 2.0 ready to use instantly…well, once I figured out what key I wanted where.

I first wanted to test out Keyport just to see if it was actually as amazing as the publicists claimed. I immediately understood the convenience of not having a bundle of keys. All of the keys on my However, I didn’t want my key to snap once I tried to turn the system inside my door. I live in a NYC apartment building. You’re destined to have AT LEAST 3 keys (unless you’re fortunate enough to have a doorman). I didn’t need one of those keys to break because I wanted to play with a new gadget. To my surprise, my key in the Keyport Slide 2.0 felt more secure than my key on the standard ring.

The Keyport Slide 2.0 holds up to 6 keys or inserts, yet is roughly the size of a pack of gum. The convenience and light weight of the Keyport Slide allows it to go into that small 5th pocket and stay discreet and comfortable. The revolutionary Keyport blades replace traditional keys, fit securely in the Keyport Slide, are easily inserted and removed, and feature a one-size-fits-all head. It’s compatible with most standard keys, including house keys, high-security keys, transponder-chipped auto and motorcycle keys, small mail and padlock keys, and bike lock keys .

This is probably the best gadget that has ever been sent to us. . I’m a fan and I recommend that everyone has a Keyport Slide. Users can customize their Keyport Slide, with useful tools like a flash drive, mini-light and bottle opener. It provides easy access to keys and tools with the slide of a thumb. The Keyport Slide 2.0 retails for $39 plus accessories and inserts.
